With Louis Vuitton muted colour schemes and loose fits, the clothes in this collection were very minimalist. Some pieces were made to fit perfectly on the body of the wearer, and the models’ complicated poses in the marketing photos made this even more clear. The choice of fabrics and structure showed that a lot of thought went into it. For example, a camel coat that looked like a classic piece turned out to be made of printed leather that was stamped, giving it a unique look and feel. Hand-painted denim trousers had strips of sequins on them, and many dresses had elaborate three-dimensional embroidery that looked like webs and was made from a lot of tiny metal coils.

Ankle boots made it look like pumps were worn over knitted socks, which showed off the maison’s skill. The collection also paid tribute to France’s lively theatre and music scenes by having models wear light-up masks that looked like the ones from “The Phantom of the Opera.”
